I love Halloween and it's really strange to be in a country where it doesn't really exist. Luckily a few weeks ago Hub and I were invited to a Halloween party hosted by the American Consulate with a bar manned by the Marines. It was an awesome time.
The party was at a house in a swanky part of town and it was amazing. Seriously one of the nicest homes I'd ever been in.
The art was incredible.
The party was a potluck and I made gooey chocolate brownies topped with white chocolate fingers. They were surprisingly easy to carve out. All you need is a pear knife.
Los Muertos
We perched at the bar and immediately bonded with consulate folk and the US Marines, who shared some crazy stories about life in corps. They were good fun...
and eventually the shots began...
then a Man in Black turned up with a water pistol...
and vodka pistol shots sounded like a good idea.
Marines don't miss.
